This body of work is that of a reflective narrative. It is a journey from presence in the physical, world to the sort of inner presence that we take part in- in a self absorbtion or reflection in the mind, mainly in times of quiet, isolated contemplation. Sometimes this practice can be quite therapeutic. Other times, as illustrated by my images it can be a horrific experience, fueled by pressure, stress, doubt, self loathing, and inumerable demons caused largely by ourselves but somewhat heightened by environment. I use both digital and scanned 35 mm images and straight scan textures to create worlds that reflect a passage from physical world to reflective, but troubled mental state.
