In 2002, Kat Silverglate, a self-taught beginning photographer, started sharing her images and observations about life in a series of bimonthly e-mails and web posts called Kat Silverglate's Shot of the Day. What started as a small audience willing to endure and comment on her novice work, has turned into a journey with about 800 regular subscribers and now, this book. The comments and criticism from those along for the ride have been the best training ground a photographer could ever ask for.
