About the Book
The French call the illusion that results when two mirrors are held face to face to each other an abime. In English, we might describe it as an unfathomable depth, abyss, or chasm.
The abimes shown here began as butterfly designs fashioned out of digital manipulations of photos of clouds. They were then combined in various ways to generate abimes.
The results also suggested to me the kind of fun designs generated by a kaleidoscope.
