Jane was born in Terre Haute, Indiana where she lived until she graduated from Indiana State University. She then moved to Crawfordsville and taught in the North Montgomery Community School System. She is married to Larry Gallagher and they have one son Kevin,and a daughter-in-law Rise. Jane is retired from teaching, but has spent the years since retirement working at Pleasant Hill Elementary as a preschool assistant, a reading remediation assistant, and is presently a library assistant. She enjoys reading, going to movies, walking with her fuzzy sheepdog, Maggie Bea, and spending time with her friends and family.
