That is the point, where the circle of meaning and expression for me is closed. Creative energy is set free, and starts to flow.

Please notice, this is a square format edition of my book about bodypainting ! Photographies are smaller and the layout is slightly different to the large edition.

About the Author

Jürgen Katzengruber
juexi  Vendôme, France
Jürgen Katzengruber, born 1971 in Austria, costume designer and photographer. Studies at Vienna’s university for applied Arts, masterclass for fashion design. He was lucky to call designers like Vivienne Westwood, Marc Bohan and Helmut Lang his teachers. Graduated with a diploma in 1996, he began doing wardrobe in a small theater in Vienna. This universe, until than quite unknown for him, had a great impact on his personal and professional development. Since 2002, he lives in France, near the city of Vendôme (region Centre). As artist and costume designer for professional theater productions, he is fascinated by the multitude of human expressions, fashions and styles, and the question how to make history in costumes alive. He tries to express his ideas through clothes he designs for theater, for his own and self-directed photosessions or for any other occasion, where the creation of a garment can be interesting and useful.
