About the Book
Peter Jeeves was born in London in 1934. He was educated at Westminster where he won the Gumbleton English Verse Prize and a place at Oxford, which he never took up. He served with the 2nd Battalion Scots Guards in Germany and has been connected with the communications industry and journalism in a variety of roles, including eight years at Condé Nast where he was the British company’s first Publisher. He has written for magazines and newspapers on food and gardening and had his own antiques business, exhibiting three times at the Olympia Fine Art and Antiques Fair. In 1976 he published his first collection of verse ‘Streams’ with a foreword by Spike Milligan. He is twice divorced with three children and lives in Sussex.
