Josh possessed an innate artistic vision from a very young age. He explored many forms of creative expression in his early years including painting, poetry, graphic design, playing the violin, writing music, and experimenting with photographic techniques. Photography quickly emerged as the chosen focus of Josh’s artistic interests.
Josh began his college education at the University of Wisconsin – Platteville and soon transferred to Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA to pursue photography seriously. Inspired by his environment and natural landscapes, Josh initially focused on fine art photography. Subsequent travel experiences led Josh to portraiture and wedding photography as a way to tell personal and emotional stories.
His professional yet gentle demeanor allows him to easily establish a level of comfort with the individuals being photographed, to capture expressions of true emotion and feeling. Josh passionately documents beautiful moments of life’s most important events and milestones.
Josh is a member of WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) and PPA (Professional Photographers of America).
