About the Book
TransFORMations is a survey of the impressive range and diversity of attitudes, materials, methods and ideas being employed by young sculptors throughout the southeast today.
These artist’s works explore the physical presence and immediacy of the sculptural object and in doing so deal with topics such as the human body, identity, clothing, memory and industrial design. Others investigate and address more traditional subjects, including nature, scale, surface and color, while tweaking these familiar subjects and processes to create something completely unique and unexpected.
