About the Book
The lecrin Valley Limpers was formed in 2004 when a group of British expats decided to go for a walk and returned with aching limbs. Over the years the group has grown into a diverse multicultural group of friends who meet once a week for a walk. The group is centered around the Valle de Lecrin, a lush green valley that runs from Southern Spanish city of Granada down to the sea. On the edge of the Sierra Nevada National park, a major destination for many of our walks. The National park covers an area area of 862 square kilometers and around the edge runs the Sulayr long distance footpath. This is the story of our exploration of this 300 km path. It is not a guide to the walk, it's just a collection of the events and the discoveries we made in the 18 months it took us to complete the walk.
