The wildlife of Florida is rich and varied, yet most of us are familiar with only a dozen or so species. The most recognized and endangered species such as manatees and panthers to the very common raccoons and squirrels have adapted to urban environments. Others, like the frightening alligators and black bears to the cute animals like the armadillo who can't seem to cross the road. These are just a few of the many animal species found in Florida and what make Florida a paradise for animal lovers.

With Florida's sub-tropical climate, this makes the state ideal for many animals to call home, and some species are only found here in the state. Photographers love to take their picture, and it is a hobby and passion that truly brings one closer to nature.

This book is the result of four years traveling around the state of Florida, from my hometown of Tampa Bay, to the magical Everglades down to the tropical paradise of the Florida Keys. We hope you enjoy tour around Florida as seen through the viewfinder of some amazing animals.
