About the Book
Method Portraits is a series of photographs of actors performing roles they are introduced to as they sit down in front of the camera. The role descriptions are vague, challenging the actors to base their characters on their own associations, memories, thoughts and opinions. The scenarios the actors are challenged with are events likely to occur in their personal lives and as a result the actors should be able to identify with the though choices their characters will have to overcome. If the situation arises where I sense the actor going into a less wanted direction, I interact and manipulate the situation or challenge their choices.
