About the Book
One of the reasons I love to travel is to unlock my curiosity about other people and to open myself to other cultures and religions. Through my love of taking photographs of windows and doors when I travel, my collection of nearly 250 pictures from 10 countries make for a very welcoming entrance, both literally and figuratively, into other people's lives, their cultures, and beliefs. My photography of windows and doors started in 2002 on a spur-of-the-moment impulse when I was in Skagway, Alaska, and has been a personal tradition ever since. Over the years, I have found that these pictures represent my travels. My book of almost 100 pages also includes reflections about my travel experiences within the countries, and great quotes about windows and doors.
