About the Book
Market Day at Chicicastenago 1981 is a collection of 30 color and toned black and white photographs taken during my 1981 visit to Chichicastenango in Guatemala. Chichicastenango is simply known as Chichi, and is famous for its traditional K'iche' Maya culture and two colorful market days. Also shown are the “traje”- traditional beautiful Mayan costumes. The pictures show the market as it was in 1981.
