About the Book
To mark the Year of the Horse, we flew to Shanghai and then to China's southwest provinces, Guizhou and Yunnan. We photographed the New Year's dance celebrations of the Miao people, open-air village markets, and the World Heritage Yuanyang Rice Terraces, in sun and in fog. We loved the Scholar Gardens in Suzhou, the dancers in the public gardens at West Lake in Hangzhou, and the skyline of Shanghai by day and night.
