About the Book
Sacred in Sicily is a photo reportage of how the relationship between people and the Island’s Saints has changed in time. It shows how religious feasts have lost their devotional aspect, and gave way to a kind of exhibitionism, the kind we find in hooligans or in social networks. These kind of behavior is very far from silent prayers and true faith which have been typical of religious feasts in Sicily for hundreds of years.
