Connections

The pictures in the following book were exhibited at the EPFL university during the month of March 2009. I've chosen a cross-section of the places I've been to which have left a lasting mark on my spirit.

They go in pairs, two by two, faraway places linked together by a recurring theme of humanity.

We're always worried for ourselves, for what other do and say, for how we conduct our lives and this accumulating stress stops us from seeing the world and its inhabitants. We can't see humanity for all the humans. All the people I've met in these travels can be proud of their humility -their elegance, a beacon of light and a stoic example to follow. Stop worrying and enjoy the brief moment of existence we're all privileged enough to experience.

So I hope that I have managed to put onto paper the experiences that I've had, flung continents and countries apart, yet thread together with elegance, nonchalance and hope. An enduring humanity in a world lacking of it. A calming insanity in a disconnected, turbulent and sane world.
