About the Book
Burley in the Bluegrass is a chronological look at a typical burley tobacco farming operation in Kentucky. David Schumacher uses his digital camera to show how Campbell County farmer Allan Seiter tends to 20 acres of tobacco from the pre-planting stages in March until the cured leaves are taken to market in December and January. The final product becomes one of the key ingredients in premium cigarettes.
