About the Book
I am Daniel Trivin, 54, and I live in Tampa, Fla. An army brat, I've lived many places. I have worked as a dishwasher, janitor, car valet, grill cook, florist, telephone solicitor, package delivery driver, fiberglass car parts manufacturer, stagehand, bartender, massage therapist, bodyworker, computer networking engineer, and acupuncture physician.
I wrote these poems in response to a period in the late eighties when I yawned, stretched, and looked about my life.
I live in a big, old house in Seminole Heights, with my wife, Kay and our son, Cyrus. Many members of our extended family live nearby, and they gather at our home every few weeks for Pizza Friday.
I often go to the Tampa Bay Brewing Company to see friends and share stories over a few pints of David's spectacular beer.
Some people tell me that I'm easy to talk to. If that's true, then I believe these poems might speak to you.
