About the Book
This is the story of a little egg and her journey of self discovery. Brightly coloured clay figurines illustrate the story of the little egg and her farm animal friends.
This is the Spanish version (there is also an English one). Repetitive phrasing helps young readers who are learning to speak Spanish.
The concept for "Gemma el Huevo" began quite some time ago. On hearing the English pronunciation of my name, which is very similar to the Spanish word for egg yolk, yema, my cheeky young Spanish cousin nick-named me “Gemma el Huevo”. Years later Gemma el Huevo has finally come to life!

I am the daughter of an Australian mum and a Spanish dad. I am a traveller, reader, procrastinator, dreamer and creator... and sometimes I'm a vet. The “Gemma the Egg” books were created to encourage my young nieces to practise their Spanish language skills. The story, figurines and photography are all my own original work.
