I live in the Pacific Northwest, in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. I'm married to my high school sweetheart and have three grown children and a granddaughter. I also share my life with Larry the cat. I'm fascinated by ancient history, love to read, garden, take black-and-white photos and travel. Walking is my favorite activity. I have a fondness for the ridiculous and unusual, and probably collect way too much useless information. Fortunately it comes in handy when cooking up ideas for my next book.
