The "24 hours of Flickr" book commemorates a global photo event held on May 5, 2007. From thousands of submissions, this selection of photos represents themes from the day as well as images that illustrate the diversity and quality of the million+ photos being uploaded to Flickr every day. Flickr and Blurb will each donate $1 for every book sold to Médecins Sans Frontières up to $10,000 (USD). You can see more submissions to the 24 Hours of Flickr group at:
Hi there! We're Team Flickr, and we toil away on the Internet from our office in downtown San Francisco. We started this store to distribute the commemorative "24 Hours of Flickr" book - a collection of photos culled from a day long global community event held on May 5, 2007. Thank you to everyone who participated and submitted such wonderful photographs from all over the world. Flickr is one of the world’s leading online photo sharing communities where people manage and share pictures of life's daily moments with friends, family and the world. With 24 million worldwide visitors each month, Flickr serves as the 'eyes of the world' and has revolutionized the sharing and discovery of what people see and experience through photos.
