About the Creator
Alesia Gudkova, Ukraine-born, with roots in the third large city of Ukraine, Dnipropetrovsk. started shooting film in 1998 while working in a film photo lab. got two high educations in: german studies and international relations and geopolitic. got deeply invested into photography in 2011 by shooting women portraits, reportage scenes of the daily life combining a personal posed/genuine approach. interested in many different approaches which can be sometimes contradictory, spontaneous, intimate, chaotic, darky, grainy and contrasty. constantly switching between two extreme poles: a strong spiritual, intellectual and totally subjective bond between her models and a cold and distant way to frame the subject in its environment. as consequence of this the photography tends to be visually narrative and cinematic adopting ‘broken’ compositions and elements of strangeness going beyond classicism. instagram.com/4tness flickr.com/photos/alesiagudkova facebook.com/alesiagudkova
