About the Book
Landscape photography has grown from a narrow and predictable study of landscape as nature, place and aesthetic to an exploration of more comprehensive issues, which encompass landscape as habitat, history, artifact, system, wealth and problem. Students of the two-week “Landscape as Photography” course at Texas A&M University – Commerce explored all of these concepts first hand under the guidance of Associate Professor Chad D. Smith. The following images are interpretations of their didactic and applied study of landscape photography.
