About the Book
Moving forward in the streets, lonely together, faster and faster, day and night. The crowded side walks are inhabited with shadows and phantoms. The artificial lights become liquid, dancing reflections in a stream of colour. Hamburger, chicken, french fries and the scent of Guerlain. Surrounded by its contrast in our everyday lives: light and darkness, solitude and crowds, beauty and ugliness, life and death.

About the Creator
Emilie Ganouna-Cohen
Denmark
I live and work in Denmark. With Jewish and Tunisian ancestors, and a Swedish French background. I have adopted the lifestyle of rootlessness and have lived in England, Finland, France and Sweden. I compare the life and the cultures, look at the differences but concentrate mainly on the similarities. No matter the time and place, the gender or age, the race or religion, the human soul is based on the same human essence. Our lives follow unidentified paths were we cross each other. We are social animals leaning on the existence of each other, where our identity depends on others recognition and presence. This reflects in my work were I am constantly juggling with prejudices as well as trying to get a glimpse of the human soul.
