About the Book
Every year I visit a pristine two mile stretch of ocean beach on the outer end of Long Island. There I find an unusual number of lost Mylar balloons. Mylar is a silverized nylon that breaks down very slowly in nature. These Mylar portraits, made with a plastic camera, are meditations on the enduring legacy of plastic in our environment.
