About the Book
"I wrote the following essays during most of Obama’s run for the US presidency beginning in February 2008 and ending in November 2008. It was more than about an election for me but an attempt to grasp at a hope I sorely needed. When I was a young alter boy, I would pray, not so much to ask for personal peace, but to connect to something larger than myself and feel less alone. These essays serve as my prayers." John Delloro
