About the Book
The following images are visual representations of the way society treats our water, which ultimately reflects the way we treat our world and its inhabitants. More specifically, these pictures highlight the issues behind the over-usage of and dependence on the Colorado River. Shockingly, forty million people are reliant on this beautiful river carving its way through thousands of miles of barren desert. Ultimately, it is this river that gives life to the entire southwest and beyond, it is responsible for the desert flora that paints the landscape to the thousands of lights on the Las Vegas strip. Without this godly river the south west would be an unbearable, almost impossible place to live.
These Pictures were taken during a span of six days in many different desert locations, all relating to water in the west. My pictures can do little justice to the beauty of these natural places; I strongly recommend visiting these places and seeing where our water comes from, especially if you live in the west I guarantee you walk away with a greater respect or understanding, I know I did. Several of these images are double exposures, meaning they contain two overlapping pictures in one. This series has only been color corrected no other means of editing have been used.
