About the Book
Sarah J. Gaetz provides a glimpse into the early years of the Town of Hay River, Northwest Territories. She and husband, Reverend Ken Gaetz, moved to this new community in 1949, across the river from the Dene Native village, to establish the first Pentecostal mission in Canada's Arctic. The mission expanded into the medical field with the founding of the H. H. Williams Memorial Hospital. Her memoir, Wrapped in Furs, offers an uplifting account of adventures from a woman's perspective involving families, relationships, love and loss, as well as a strong faith that sustained and deepened those experiences.
