Visions of Peru

This book is a record of a journey taken by the photographer and author, Darlene Hildebrandt. It was created as a fund raiser solely for the purpose of raising money for the kids and those in need in Peru. 100% of ALL the profits will be donated back to the country and it's people, to a charity that takes no administration fees and uses all of the money to help the people.
The photos will take you from Lima, into the mountain city of Cusco, through the Sacred Valley and of course to Machu Picchu. It is a spiritual as well as heart opening experience to travel to such a place and Darlene has conveyed those feelings through her images.

Darlene Hildebrandt

Born and raised in Edmonton, Darlene has had formal training in photography. She enjoys fine art, and travel photography, fine dining, good wine, personal growth, and working out. She’s been a professional photographer for 19 years, and has run her own business for over 18. She got into fine art photography in 2005 with her first exhibit titled “The Times and Places” that showcased things close to her heart – unique, touching places, images and objects that transcend time. After a recent trip to Peru, Darlene was left with a deep impression of the country and its people. Through travel, she believes that we gain a greater understanding of others, and what we understand, we can’t hate. It is her mission to take others to far away places - either personally through photography tours, or virtually through her images – so that ultimately there is a little more understanding, and lot less hatred in the world.
