About the Book
Porches are a positively perfect place to sit and talk awhile…or maybe watch a sunset, or listen to the birds, or just daydream! Now, most porches just let you sit on them and never make a sound (except for a creak here and there to adjust their joints a bit — porches get a little achy, too, you know!). But Mimsy’s porch is a positively peculiar porch with a mind of its own. Wait, what’s that you say? Are porches alive? Well, bless your heart, of course they’re alive! Alive with stories! But you never would know it because most porches sit all quiet-like and just listen. But there are some, like Mimsy’s porch, that just can’t sit still in all the excitement — they have to get up and go! So, here’s a little story about a time when Mimsy’s porch just got up and went!

About the Creator
Allison Shaw grew up in the land of kudzu, cotton, and collard greens, better known as rural Mississippi. As a child, she was best known for her accomplishments in bareback pony riding, feral cat taming, and cow midwifery. At the appropriate age, she strapped on heels to attend college and travel the world. Since then, she has settled down in her home state, traded in her heels for somewhat trendy flats, and spends most of her time perfecting the art of dog, cat, and child wrangling.
