In March 2009 I made a welcome return to the Lake District, for a weeks stay at Lakeland Photographic Holidays at Braithwaite.

The aim of the week was to take photographs. My images are often regarded as soft and gentle, not in your face, so I was looking for soft light, not necessarily sun. I was not disappointed. There was everything during the week from snow storms to bright sunshine.

Perfect for a weeks image making.

This book is a collection of my favorite pictures from the week, not necessarily the best. They are split into individual day's and therefore individual locations.

Hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them.

Ian Oliver Photography & Framing
IanOliver  Scottish Borders
I have always had an interest in photography, but this interest only became more serious in 2001, when I had a number of trips to Lakeland Photographic Holidays where my enthusiasm was re-kindled. I then joined Galashiels Camera Club, and the Royal Photographic Society. I am current Chairman of the camera club, and hold a Licentiateship with the RPS. I have also had a number of acceptances in National and International Photographic Exhibitions. The landscape of my home area of the Borders and elsewhere, and the amazing effect nature has on it, in the way of light and weather, is what I hope to capture in my work.
