Bachelors in London & Stockholm

Bachelors in London & Stockholm has been exhibited at Ålands Konstmuseum (2007), Åland, Arbetets Museum in Norrköping (2008), Mornington Hotel, Stockholm (2008) and will be showed in a hotel suite in Karlstad, Sweden. At Rum III in Karlstad (2009) a hotel suite is changed into a bachelor’s home.

The idea of documenting bachelors appeared when Anna was assigned to work with the theme ”Photography and Society” at the London College of Printing. In 1999 single households in London became very noticed since it was a common way of living in the city. Just like in Stockholm today, 2009.

Anna got in contact with the men through friends and didn’t visit the bachelor before the photo shoot took place, mainly to avoid a predetermined picture. The book includes portraits of the bachelors, interior photographs, exteriors and a short presentation of each bachelor.
