Herman Snell is a father, Jackson, Mississippi native, Eagle Scout, amateur genealogist, writer, poet, and abstract painter who incorporates movement into his art. Since 2001 he has been the music and arts editor for the alternative news weekly the Jackson
Free Press; and from 2004 to 2009 was the director of the Crossroads Film Festival.
He has written for alternative music, surreal prose, experimental film, futurist, lateral thinking, and philosophy periodicals.
His nature is that of the free-thinking, philosophical, non-political, creative, eclectic, eccentric stream of consciousness, go with the flow, no worries, unconventional and just plain weird.
