About the Book
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to the Sault Ste Marie Soup Kitchen and Community Centre.
These are the images from Brian Tremblay's recent exhibit entitled "Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind". They are portraits of the people and volunteers of the Sault Ste Marie Soup Kitchen and Community Centre. The exhibit debuted at the Art Gallery of Algoma in January 2016. The portraits were shot with film and printed in a darkroom.
They are an engaging look at poverty and the reality that the people in need of facilities such as soup kitchens are regular people, just like us, except they have different circumstances that have brought them to a place like the soup kitchen.
