About the Book
A 1920's bungalow in Holywood, Co. Down.
Marie and Alan had successfully bid on a different home but the deal unexpectedly fell through at the last minute. With days to go before the people were due to move into their last home, they asked friends who happened to own this Holywood home if they could possibly rent it while looking around. These folk had bought it and planned to demolish the house and build 2 semi's. So it was neglected, empty and run down - but once Marie and Alan moved in, they fell in love with it and the friends were more than happy to sell it to them. They did all the work themselves, decorating, kitchen makeover etc in a surprisingly short space of time and are now happily settled in their new home.
