About the Book
Come on, come all to a Parade for the Future! Let’s celebrate what hasn’t happened yet, notably the impending submergence of our city under water due to climate change.
On Sat, Sept 13th, 2008, Platform2 led a Parade for the Future in the form of a giant blue wave through the Commons in downtown Boston. The parade proceeded along the flood line of the neighborhood, tracing a worst-case scenario future geography from the year 2108. We tied 350 blue ribbons at the high water line all along the route.
Platform2: Art and Social Engagement is an experimental forum series about creative practices at the intersection of social issues.
Platform2 is organized by Catherine D'Ignazio & Savic Rasovic of iKatun, Andi Sutton and Jane D. Marsching.
