About the Book
My grandparents bought the "camp" on Oneida Lake in 1950, and my mother told me that we went there when I was an infant. I imagine we sat on the lakeside porch in the evening waiting for the sun to set and the men to come in from fishing. So these images - the boats at dusk, the sunsets, and the spiders descending from their nests in the eves outside the screens to repair their webs once the sun set, must be part of my earliest memory.
