About the Book
Celebrating the city's 175th birthday, Tag It! Toronto: A City’s Imagination Revolution is a photographic chronicle of graffiti and various forms of street art. It is also the photographer’s own re-imagining of Toronto's art-adorned urban spaces. Tag It! Toronto captures, often in abstraction, the colliding artistic vision of graffiti writers and street artists. The convergence of these works with the ubiquitous objects of urban life and the surrounding community gives rise to a new artistic configuration. The book is a close-up in another sense: by zooming in primarily on one aspect of Toronto and those who make it thrive, it suggests that we can all be involved in the creation of our city, that we can begin simply by starting close to home and taking another look.

I was born in Montreal, raised in Ottawa and have been living in Toronto for most of my adult life, which is also spent on foreign ground as much as possible. There's nothing I love more than being in new places, which I can stumble upon as happily in my own city as anywhere else. I almost always have my camera along for the ride.
