Catchlight is truly a deep look into the eyes of the people of North India. It is said that the eyes are the window to the soul. In this book, I try to reach inside those photographed to let their soul speak. In these environmental portraits from Delhi, Agra and Kashmir.

I have been shooting pictures since I was 10 years old with my father's Cannonet QL Rangefinder. My dad and I processed my first images in a darkroom built under our basement stairs. Captured by a basic photography course in High School, I went on to pursue Photography in depth in college. My Kashmir trekking company, Frontier Treks & Tours, has been a perfect outlet for my photographic passion. Recently my work was featured in a traveling exhibition sponsored by the Indian Government for Indian embassies around the world. My images have also been used by international clients such as BBC, Honda Motor Corporation, and Bombadier Transport Corporation. I am proud to be sponsored by Lowepro camera bags and Lexar media and others.
