Melvin Moten Jr. has spent the last several years travelling the U.S. in search of subjects brave enough to reveal their sexual selves to his cameras. The books in his “seconds” series are the most ambitious distillation of this work-in-progres. “My current work deals with the more physical/sexual aspects of fetish all done in "real time" -- no acting. Basically my work is getting more and more "personal", which may not be in most people's comfort zones. That said, I've never asked a subject to do anything that I wouldn't be willing to experience myself.”
