This collection is the result of a four-year project that started with a trip to the fog-enshrouded Grand Canyon. Since then, the author has traveled to over twenty-five destinations within the United States attempting to capture one shot that truly displays the "truth" of that place. Whether it was northern Maine's woods, Utah's deserts, or Virginia's mountains, the light had to be just right...
Within the book's 108 pages is a stunning variety of photographs that capture our country at its best: Vistas of our national parks and historic sites, intimate portraits of animals (both wild and captive) and views of people in both ordinary and uncommon situations.
Shooting both in color and black and white, the author has captured life in America as it appears to him. The photos are an intimate portrait of how he sees the world around him, and how diverse and unique the United States truly are!
