A famous author once wrote, "I am haunted by water." With his unique voice and imagery, K. Gordon Tidball recounts his own ghosts and glories through the medium of water and his complex relationship with its movement. He uses his varied and eclectic experiences with water as points of departure for wide-ranging ruminations on the larger questions that haunt him. The result is an honest, sometimes troubling composite portrait of human attempts to navigate the "sea," real or metaphorical. More than a meditation, this loosely thematic collection of poems, prose, art, and photography unabashedly engages the question of "How to be" without feigning answers.

About the Author

K. Gordon Tidball
kgtidball  Seneca Falls, New York, USA
Raised in the Great Lakes region, K. Gordon Tidball felt early the ebb and flow of big water and big ideas. Since those early years of being sculpted by Lake Superior, and later living near Lakes Erie, Michigan and Huron, his travels have taken him around the world in search of new flows, new waves, new fish, and new horizons. Tidball now resides in New York, where he works as a hybrid anthropologist/ecologist at Cornell University. He spends his free time with his family on their farm at the north end of Cayuga Lake.
