About the Book
A Mule's Tale is a photographic journal of a round trip journey to the bottom of the Grand Canyon by way of riding a mule. This is a concession offered at the South Rim village available to anyone visiting the park wanting to go to Phantom Ranch. The portfolio of photographs was made over a period of months to depict the moods and extremes that the canyon can provide. It brings to life the behind the scenes preparations for the trip, the maintenance of the tack, the care for the livestock and the support that the pack mules provide to Phantom ranch.
