About the Book
Whitefish, Little Cranberry, Cranberry and Dog Lakes are arguably the nicest part of the Rideau. Jones Falls Locks are to the north; Upper Brewers are to the south. In between lie many kilometres of pleasant boating, fishing and nature watching. The shores are a mix of natural areas, simple cottages and year-round homes, some of them quite elaborate. The creatures with whom we share this paradise and the plants, both native and in our gardens, add to the beauty and the wonder.
Come and join me as I roam north and south from my home on Whitefish Lake and enjoy with me a year on the lake.
