Frank Leonard fell in love with photography at the age of eleven, the very first time he stood under a darkroom red light and saw an image emerge on a piece of photo paper that had been dropped into a tray of DK-50. It was magic, and he was hooked for life.
As a teenager, and throughout his life, he has loved photographing landscapes and seascapes. He grew up in Santa Cruz, California, only a few blocks from the Pacific Ocean, so he had plenty of opportunity.
From the age of twelve he worked in camera stores and studios, with excellent mentors along the way. Now, after retiring from public education in San Francisco, Frank has returned to the Santa Cruz area to pursue his love of photography full-time. He lives in Ben Lomond, California, in the Santa Cruz Mountains. He has just completed the construction of a frame shop, photo studio, and photo gallery on his property.
In this portfolio you will find seventy-five of the very best landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, people photos, and astronomy photos that Frank has taken over a lifetime.
Visit Frank's website at http://www.frankleonard.com to view more of his photography and writings. Better yet, if you're going to be in the Ben Lomond, California area, give Frank a call at 831-336-8073 to schedule an appointment to visit his gallery.
