all images in this book were taken by me in metro Vancouver, on the very edge of the wilderness in British Columbia, Canada. man and bird co-exist although bird gangs sometimes have the upper-hand.

bordered by mountains and ocean, bird life is diverse and many species are adept at urban living - often working together to ensure their survival.

there are birds in the downtown area, in suburban gardens, on the edge of the land, on the mountain slopes. if you like birds, metro Vancouver is a source of wonder throughout the seasons.
