Hugh Byrne can be defined as a visual artist using photography and montage. He uses Photoshop as an integral tool for his work. Hugh lives in Luton, England. In 1997 he helped found Luton Movie Makers and SNAP - Social Needs Awareness Project. SNAP has become a passion for Hugh, and defines his work as an artist. The project provides a creative and therapeutic space for young people. It battles against stigma and negativity and provides a safe place where young people can talk, and be listened to. He teaches his style of art at the project. www.snapart.org.uk He previously worked as dark room supervisor at 33 Arts Centre, Luton which grounded him in traditional photography techniques.
