Taxibiography

‘Taxibiography’ is a photoproject by the Dutch taxidriver/designer Walter van Peijpe. The project is a registration of all his 1268 taxirides in the Leiden region between
02-03-2006 and 28-05-2007. Every picture, made from the steering-wheel with the same camera settings, shows the end of each ride. This photobook gives an unique, objective impression of a contemporary and ordinary citylandscape. At the same time this book invites to reflect on the personal story behind the pictures. The world of a taxidriver has become visable in this ‘Taxibiography’.
