These photographs are the result of a brief visit to a friend's cabin in Eagle Nest, New Mexico. They attempt to capture the unique beauty and spirit embodied in its magnificent variety of ancient cultures that blend together to form a tapestry unlike anywhere else in the United States. Nowhere is this more evident than in the high desert region of Northern New Mexico, where its unspoiled landscapes and charming villages offer a rich treasure trove of photographic subject material.

I have been working in photography for the last 35 years. I began as a photographer for a mid-sized daily newspaper and slowly worked my way up to photo editor. After a few years working overseas, I returned to the United States and took a position as manager for the photo and video documentation teams at NASA.
