Men of Color V1.2

This project Men of Color- Vol 1 (A grown and sexy journey using poetry and photography) started out as a project to reclaim a love for photography. By using my own self written poetry and my own photography capturing real brothers in erotic poses, the focus is on the mental, physical and untapped sex appeal. At first I was apprehensive since we live in such a suspicious society, but what I found was enthusiasm and each brother had a unique story behind his eyes. Men of Color exude a sensuality and eroticism, which has been captured, boxed, and mass-produced to sell everything from shoes, clothes, liquor and to yes sex. However, often times overlooked or missed is what lay behind the swagger, the muscles, the bald head, the Caesar and fade cuts, the six pack…the suit, the uniform, the hip hop gear, the cars, the jewelry, friends and lovers, ..….A Man with dreams, emotion, fears, successes, a deep real love.

Not to be trapped behind the skyscrapers overshadowing our lives or the concrete jungle we maneuver, we each are on a journey through life. The challenge is not to stay in one experience but rather live life to the fullest and learn from our past to propel us into the future.

The brothers most having never modeled come nationally and internationally from various heritages and ancestry…European, African, Indian, Latin. Each one helped bring his own sex appeal in each picture and by each poem. Experience real photography and real poetry without being changed or enhanced. Thank You.
